Sunrisewholesalemerchandise.com is a drop ship website offering you some fantastic features for a very reasonable membership fee. It's not quite as professional looking as some other sites, and the product range isn't as great, but there are some great membership packages and products wholesale prices compare very favorably with other sites in this category. The customer support is also very good too.

Compared with some of its competitors (e.g. Shopster.com) the way the site is set out doesn't quite match this standard. However, if you're prepared to put your faith into this site you'll undoubtedly be rewarded. You'll find over 5,000 products on sale at low wholesale prices. Ok, so the product range doesn't't compare with other sites that offer 1,000,000 items, but what you do get are quality products at low prices. There are 36 categories to browse, including 'electronics', 'garden decor, 'gifts & collectibles', 'health & body' and more, giving plenty of variation. There are also 5 categories of sales items, where you can pick up special offers, discontinued stock, seasonal offers and so on. At the time of this review there were 421 items on offer.

When browsing thumbnail images of products you can hover the mouse over the thumbnail to enlarge the image. Accompanying the thumbnail is the product number, retail price, wholesale price and 'Gold price'. The retail price listing is useful as it gives you some idea of what you can charge when selling an item. The Gold price refers to the wholesale price a Gold Member will pay; around 25% less than Wholesale Members, so it's definitely an option worth considering. You can click on the item for more detailed information, including brand, weight, material, stock level, unit of sale, whether the item is discontinued, shipping details (Free Members and Gold Members pay different shipping fees too), as well as a detailed description of that item. From here you can add a product to your cart, sell on eBay or add to your stock alerts (you are alerted when stock levels are low). You can also view similar items.

It's easy to sign up and takes just a couple of minutes to register your details and select a membership. The Wholesale Membership gets you access to the product catalog, CSV data files, online information and guides to drop shipping and FAQs and customer support. However, whilst membership is free you pay more for products (around 25% more) and shipping as slightly more expensive too (depending on the product being shipped-see product information for more details). If you're seriously invested in your business it's worth considering an upgrade. For those who sell principally on auction sites, the Auction Wizard Membership gives you  the tools to make selling easier. You get automatic detail and image listing to eBay, 19 custom templates to showcase your products, automatic shipping calculations, a text editor to enhance product descriptions, eBay listing history, a relisting tool making it easy to relist unsold items, and more.

Alternatively, Gold Membership gets you 25% off existing wholesale prices and reduced shipping fees (calculated as 25% of your total) as well as product alerts, a free product image cd, glossy product catalogs to sell products offline and 10 free gift cards to give to customers . It's also possible to get both upgraded memberships for $249.95 per year, saving you $168.85. If you just want one, you could also save $59.45 by paying for the full year rather than by the month.

In terms of other features, you can subscribe to the UPS Track My Shipping service, which informs your customers of their delivery progress, however, it's only really worth doing this if you're really keen to go the extra mile for your customers. There's also a useful FAQs and help section on the site, as well as a variety of ways to contact customer support, including phone, fax, email and postal mail.

Whilst not being the biggest site in terms of product range, nor offering certain features such as ecommerce website solutions, Sunrisewholesalemerchandise.com does what it does very well, keeping in mind the most important principles of drop shipping success, for example, low wholesale prices and great customer service. You can save even more by upgrading, making your membership more cost effective in the long terms by taking advantage of extra features and savings on wholesale and shipping fees.
